DEACON Lorraine Brown, director of the Amelia Trust Farm, was presented with a cheque for £700 by Gareth Roberts, chairman of Barry Male Voice Choir (BMVC).
The cheque is for work at the Amelia Trust and the money was raised at BMVC's annual Christmas Charity Concert at St Mary's Church, Barry on December 6, 2014.
Meanwhile, the Choir looks forward to the mayor of Barry's three choirs charity concert in St Mary's Church on Friday, February 27 at 7pm. Tickets £5 from the Council Offices, Gladstone Road.
The choir numbers will be augmented by the new members attracted by the recent recruitment campaign, helped by the generosity of Barry Town Council.
New members are still welcome on Monday or Thursday at 7.30pm in Trinity Hall. See choir website for information.
A further concert by the choir with its new members will take place in Trinity Hall, Trinity Street, Barry on Thursday, March 19 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £4 from choir members or by phoning 01446 402398.
