CCTV monitoring in Barry led to seven arrests being made and one fixed penalty notice issued last week.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 39 times during the week ending Sunday, December 14.

On Monday, December 8 one person was arrested on Holton Road, Barry for theft.

On Tuesday, December 9 on Quarella Street, Barry, two people were arrested for criminal damage.

Four further arrests were made on Holton Road, Barry. One person was arrested on Thursday, December 11 for theft, and three people were arrested on Sunday, December 14, two on suspicion of burglary and theft, and one for theft.

On Friday, December 12 also on Holton Road, one person was issued with a fixed penalty notice.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
