HIGH winds are currently taking their toll on Barry with trains disrupted and roads closed due to dangerous debris.
Trains are currently not running between Barry and Barry Island and Penarth fire crews are working to make Barry Island train station safe following the roof becoming loose.
Roads surrounding Barry Island funfair are closed while fallen debris is cleared by the Vale of Glamorgan council.
Fire and Rescue crews from Barry have also worked to make safe a roof ladder dislodged in Glamorgan Street and to remove a shop sign which became detached on Broad Street.
The Met Office has issued yellow "be aware" warnings for south Wales as well as six other areas across the UK, with high winds and rain expected through tonight and tomorrow (Friday, November 14)
