CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to six arrests last week, with the council's CCTV team contacting police a total of 47 times during the week ending Sunday, September 7.

On Tuesday, September 2 one person was arrested on John Street, Barry for a vehicle crime.

On Wednesday, September 3 one person was arrested on Holton Road for theft.

On Thursday, September 4 on Boverton Road, Llantwit Major, one person was arrested for domestic assault.

On Friday, September 5 in Barry, one person was arrested on Holton Road for theft, and on Saturday, September 6 one person was arrested on High Street for assault.

On Sunday, September 7 on Windsor Road, Penarth, one person was arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

An ASBO was issued on Thursday, September 4 on Holton Road, Barry.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
