A NATIONAL charity has launched a campaign urging Barry residents to join its fundraising mission by donating unwanted items to its Holton Road shop.
The British Heart Foundation is urging people to get ready for its September Bag It, Beat It drive to help fund life-saving heart research in the continued fight against congenital heart disease.
The charity hopes people can fill a bag with good quality clothes, shoes, books, handbags, DVDs, CDs, bric-a-brac and children’s toys and taking it into the BHF shop.
BHF retail director, Mike Taylor, said: “We’re urging everyone in the Barry area to have a clear out this September and to donate bags of unwanted items to their local BHF Cymru shop in Barry to Bag it, Beat it. Your unwanted items will raise vital life-saving funds, helping little heroes continue to fight congenital heart disease.”
To book a free collection of your unwanted items visit bagit.bhf.org.uk or call 0800 915 7000.
