DEMAND from shoppers in Barry has led to Morrisons extending its opening hours.

From Monday, August 18 Barry Morrisons will extend to opening an hour earlier at 7am. The store will stay open until 9pm.

Store general manager Andrew Stevens said: “Modern family life, more flexible working hours and busy schedules mean customers want us to be open for longer.

"The extension of our opening hours is one of many changes we are making to make shopping trips easier at our stores.”

The Mermaid says...

Yes but will any of the tills actually be open? Was in one morning last week and at 8:20am just one till open and a long queue of grumpy people like me in a hurry to get to work. The automated tills were not working although I do not use them as they are such a pain. So if you are opening earlier I suggest you get some staff on tills or we will head to 24 hr Tesco.
