THE Barry Sixth Form Valedictory Dinner is one of the highlights of the school calendar.
The evening brings students and their teachers together to celebrate the end of their secondary education. Over a hundred and fifty students and staff from both Bryn Hafren Comprehensive and Barry Comprehensive joined together to look back at their school days and indulge in a spot of nostalgia. As this was probably the last time many of them would meet before entering further education, or the workplace, ball gowns and tuxedos were hired, limousines ordered and dancing shoes were at the ready.
Head of Sixth Form, Rob Bourton, commented, ‘This year’s event at the Radisson Blu Hotel provided a fitting conclusion to sixth form life with entertaining speeches and good company. It gave us the opportunity to say goodbye to what has been a superb group of Year 13 students and we wish them every success for the future.’
