THE Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Big Fill campaign is returning to tackle the issue of potholes across the area.
On Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27, the Big Fill team will begin their tour of the Vale in the Dyfan ward area, and residents are being asked to report any unmarked potholes they find.
To bid for a pothole to be filled, residents can call 01446 700111, email bigfill@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk, or use the interactive map on the Vale Council website.
The team will be taking bids to have potholes fixed in the Dyfan ward between Monday, July 21, and Friday, July 25. The schedule for the other wards will be available on the council website as well as in local press and on social media.
Operational manager for Highways and Engineering, Michael Clogg, said: “I’m pleased to say the BIG Fill is back tackling potholes in every ward in the Vale. Our highways teams already work on the roads from Monday to Friday, but the extra help on the weekends through the BIG Fill campaign is a great help in tackling the pothole problem.”
“There’s no need to call if you see white or yellow paint markings around the pothole, as this shows the pothole is on our ‘to do’ list.”
