ALL are welcome to come to a family picnic at the Cwmtalwg local nature reserve on Saturday, June 7, at 2.30pm, or on Sunday, June 8, if it’s wet on the Saturday.
Come to the green space opposite the Cwmtalwg pub, Severn Avenue, Barry and follow the signs into the wood. Bring your teddy if you have one as there will be a competition for the best dressed teddy. There will also be games for children but this year people of all ages are invited to come and enjoy a picnic in the nature reserve and appreciate the small green oasis which the group works hard to maintain. There will be a large groundsheet to sit on but you are welcome to bring a folding chair if you prefer.
Drinks and biscuits are provided but any donations of food or money are welcome. There will also be a sale of handicraft items. All proceeds will be used to maintain the award winning nature reserve.
Contact Anne on 07989938923 or a.bryan7@ntlworld.com if the weather is doubtful.
For more information on the project see the website www.cwmtalwgwoods.co.uk.
