Foundation Apprenticeships available with British Rail Engineering

BARRY Communities First in partnership with British Rail Engineering are seeking people aged 16 and above to enrol on a 12 month paid apprenticeship to become skilled track operatives.
To apply for this scheme applicants must submit their CV via e-mail by Tuesday, April 29.
Successful candidates would then be asked to attend a sign up session at the People Business Wales Centre, Holton Road on Friday, May 2.
After this stage applicants would then be asked to pay £150 towards a mandatory Drug and Alcohol test. Following this there will be a 10 day personal track safety induction and small tools course taking place in Pontypool.
After this stage applicants will become an apprentice and will receive a minimum of 16 hours work per week paid at £10 an hour.
In addition to this all apprentices will work towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Rail Engineering Track Maintenance and a Level 2 Certificate in Rail Engineering.
