Bricklaying Traineeships Scheme

THE Vale Council-led Barry Communities First in partnership with Cardiff and Vale College are offering a six week Bricklaying Traineeship scheme at the Colcot Road Campus.

The course is being put on for those who are interested in entering a career in construction.

This scheme will run every Wednesday to Friday for six weeks starting April 30. In addition to receiving a minimum of £50 per week attendees will gain an insight into bricklaying and have the opportunity to sit a free Construction Skills Certificate Scheme test on successful completion of the course.

In order to be eligible for this traineeship applicants must be aged 18 or under, have left compulsory education and must not be employed for over 15 hours a week.

The interview date for this scheme will be held at the Colcot Road Campus on Thursday, April 24, times to be confirmed.
