A COLOURFUL ceremony was held in the New Jerusalem Church Hall to mark the enrolment of the newest members of Girlguiding.
Jayne Newcombe, Division Commissioner, officially welcomed Kara, Sofia, Meghan, Ruby, Sofia, Beth, Beatrice, Mika, Kayleigh into the 1st Barry Rainbows unit at the ceremony held recently in front of proud parents, relatives and friends.
Sarah Thomas, the unit leader said: "Being a Rainbow is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and of course having lots of fun. We have 11 girls currently in the unit and they all really enjoy the weekly meetings."
