Charity football match at Jenner Park

A MUCH anticipated clash of the titans comes to Jenner Park this weekend when the Ty Hafan Dads pit themselves against the Dan Evans/Palm Bistro team in aid of charity.
The two sides will meet in the charity game on Sunday, March 23 at 2pm. Admission costing just £1 for adults and free for children.
As well as the charity match, there will also be a junior football exhibition match, a crossbar challenge and refreshments from ice cream and burger vans.
After the event the Cwm Talwg pub will host food, drinks and a prize raffle draw with all proceeds going to Ty Hafan, the hospice for young lives.
A spokesman for the event said: "This should be a fabulous day for all involved and we really want the people of the town to turn up and show their support for such an important and amazing charity who this year are celebrating their 15th anniversary.
"Ty Hafan does so much incredible work with life limited children and their families and every penny taken will make a difference to these special peoples lives.
"A big thank you should also be given to all of the businesses who have contributed some amazing raffle prizes, with tickets for sale at the gate on the day.
"A special thank you to Steve Vedmore of Carbon 60 Global for donating a brand new kit ensuring Dan Evans/ Palms Bistro FC can carry on participating in football fundraising events.
"The efforts and dedication shown by the team, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary, in raising money and putting this event together must also be highly commended so, well done lads."
