FOR the third year, Christmas came to Dunlin Court's People's Centre thanks to Communities First and Newydd housing.

Children were greeted at the centre by a team of helpers before being invited in to speak to Father Christmas himself.

Festive treats and entertainment from balloon artist Arnie Kazam were also on hand to provide further festive fun for visitors.

Newydd community partnership housing manager Kevin Howells said he was delighted to be able to help bring Christmas to the children of Dunlin Court.

Speaking at the event, which was expected to attract more than 100 visitors, he said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the tenants to get together at the People's Centre, which has become a community hub.

"It's good to be able to support the community like this and the kids have a great time. It has a positive effect on the community.

"I'd like to thank the People's Centre volunteers, it couldn't be done without them. They give their time for free and without them we wouldn't be able to do any of it at all, they're the ones who keep it running."
