HUSBAND and wife ministers Reverend Peter and Deacon Samantha Taylor have taken the Operation Christmas Child message to a Barry school.
The couple were invited to talk to Year 7 pupils at Bryn Hafren Comprehensive, after local Methodist churches, contributed to the annual shoebox appeal.
Crossway, Saint David’s and Barry Island Churches, joined forces with girls and staff and Starship children’s group to contribute more than 70 shoeboxes.
The ministers thanked everyone for their support.
These shoeboxes were added to those collected by Cadoxton Methodist Church - leading to more than 500 boxes being sent.
A Cadoxton member, a long term shoebox supporter, is making a journey to Belarus this Christmas time to help with distribution and to see what happens on the ground.
