MORE than 180 slush iced-drinks flew off stalls as pupils, parents and staff raised £850 at their primary school’s summer fair on Thursday, July 11.
Barry’s Colcot primary school PTA-organised event witnessed bumper drink and ice-cream sales as hundreds of pupils and visitors attend the annual event, on the school field, on one of the hottest days of the year.
Funds raised by the PTA have helped take youngsters on a day-trip to Bristol Zoo to see the variety animals each class has adopted as part of a World Wildlife Fund scheme.
Money has also contributed to school resources.
