THE new editor of the Barry & District News is Gina Robertson.
Gina has been a journalist for more than 30 years, having worked on a variety of weekly and evening newsapers around the country.
She takes on her new role from Monday, May 6, having moved from the South Wales Argus in Newport.
She is looking forward to meeting members of the local community in the coming weeks and finding out exactly what readers want from their local paper.
“This is my dream job and I hope readers will feel free to contact me over issues they feel strongly about and want us to get involved in,”she said.
Gina is mum to Tobias, 19, and Tabitha, 16, and in her spare time enjoys visiting traditional pubs, going on country walks, and sometimes even pretends to like jogging.
