POLICE in Barry are investigating a burglary which took place at a house on Highlight Lane at around 10.45pm on Tuesday, January 8.
Access was gained to the front porch of the house and, after being disturbed by the householder, the intruder made off with two boxes containing a flat-pack IKEA drawer unit.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of the suspect, who is described as male, of stocky build with dark thick stubble. He was wearing a light coloured beanie style hat, a dark waist-length quilted jacket with a white/light hooded top on underneath and light trousers.
Detective Constable Adam Harding of Barry CID said: “We are asking anyone who may recognise the suspect from the description and the CCTV still to contact the police.
“Also if there are any witnesses who may have seen this suspect or anyone behaving suspiciously in the Highlight Lane area of Barry on Tuesday night, please contact us.”
