A BARRY band has scooped a Best Original Song award during their bid to reach the Open Mic UK final in London next month. (January 19)
Teenagers Joel Avaient, Jack Bloomfield, Edan (CORR) Edwards, and Daniel Saunders will stake their claim to the title at the O2 Arena after their success in the competition's Grand Semi Final in Reading this month.
Band member Edan Edwards said: "It was amazing.
"We performed our own song 'Easily Said' with Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' in front of 300 plus people.
"Our family, friends and fans also came along with us and it was such a surreal experience."
He added: "Tickets for the O2 will be £15 each if anyone wants to come.
"It's going to be an amazing day."
