POLICE in Barry are appealing for witnesses to comee forward following an alleged assault in the town which left a man with a broken jaw.

The incident occurred at approximately 12.40pm on Friday, November 9, outside the post office on Barry Road, when a 26-year-old man was assaulted by two men.

The victim sustained a serious fracture of the jaw as a result of the incident.

A 19-year-old man and a 43-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers want to to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have any other information, as part of their ongoing investigation.
