ROOTS Music Nights are back after a short break in August with a performance by the Ramon Goose Trio.

From an early age he was drawn to the music of the American South, especially pre-war Delta Blues, which continues to influence his playing style to this day.

Ramon has performed and toured all over the world and strives to be a ground breaking and exciting contemporary Blues artist.

In 2010 he set out to discover the roots of the Blues, ending up in Dakar, Senegal, playing with griot and other musicians.

Ramon has performed and recorded with Kora star Diabel Cissokho, Modou Toure, Eric Bibb, Justin Adams and Julian Joseph to name a few.

He is currently working on a new album from his travels in Morocco and the Sahara Desert with his band Desert Rock.

This evening’s show will consist of acoustic and electric Delta and Swing Blues alongside some Spirituals and African tinged Blues.

Ramon Goose Trio will perform at Barry West End Club on Friday, September 16.

Doors open at 7pm.

Tickets cost £10 in advance from the bar or call 07561 143114.
