AUSTRALIAN born, Nashville-based singer, songwriter and guitar virtuoso Daniel Champagne is heading to Penarth as part of his Heart and Hurricanes world tour.

Exuding a natural ease on stage, he sings poignant and beautifully crafted lyrics coupled with an exhilarating guitar talent that transcends mere acoustic playing to sound like a full band.

Picking up the guitar at the age of five, Daniel trained classically throughout his teens, playing live wherever he could, honing and developing what would become the dynamite live show he would become known for today.

At 18 he left school, turned professional and hit the road, traversing North America, UK, Europe, New Zealand and his homeland Australia for the next five years, sharing the stage with INXS, John Butler, Lucinda Williams and KT Tunnstall.

With numerous EPs and CDs to his name and still in his 20s, Daniel is now regarded as one of the leading lights on the acoustic scene, making festivals buzz, holding crowds in the palm of his hand, dropping jaws and breaking guitars.

Daniel plays Penarth Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Saturday, April 30. Tickets cost £8 in advance from Pencerdd Music or call Mike on 07561 143114 or Rob on 07808 200263.
