A BARRY-based art group is inviting all to bring out their kites or get creative and make their own and give them airtime this Summer Solstice.
Art4U is hosting its 6th annual Celebration of the Sky Kite Festival at The Knap Lido and Point, above Watchtower Bay, the Knap, in Barry.
The event takes place from 2.30pm on Sunday, June 21.
The event, intended to celebrate nature's beauty, is centred on a community collaborative artwork called Khandroma, which means Sky Dancer in the Tibetan tradition.
Art4U’s Glyn Pooley said: "The piece will be decorated with coloured flags and we invite as many members or our community including schools and clubs to craft or bring a kite to the event."
The event is free, but donations are welcome.
Art4U is a voluntary arts group aiming to bring collaborative art to the public of Barry and the Vale and bring people outdoors to celebrate nature.
