TENNIS clubs in Barry and Penarth are encouraging people to take part in the Great British Tennis Weekend.

Windsor LTC, Penarth and Barry Community Tennis Club will be hosting events aimed at encouraging men, women and children of all backgrounds to enjoy playing one of the nation’s most loved sports with friends and family, no matter what their ability.

All Great British Tennis Weekend events are free and include accessible versions of the game, such as cardio tennis and mini tennis as well as qualified coaching lessons. People will also be able to turn up and get straight into the action with organised matches. Rackets and balls are provided at all locations so there are no issues for those who do not own any equipment.

Windsor LTC, Penarth, will be holding their event on Saturday, June 13 and Barry Community Tennis Club will open on Sunday 14.

Penarth Athletic will also host events on June 21 and 26.

Families can book in advance online and find out more information about local venues at www.greatbritishtennisweekend.com.
