A FREE coffee morning, where you can find out about health, wellbeing and social care services, will be held on March 19.

The Co-Creating Healthy Change Project at Diverse Cymru is inviting people to attend its free coffee morning at Rita’s Café, Cadoxton, Barry, from 10am until noon.

The project, one of 10 projects funded by Big Lottery, recognises that ordinary people have a wealth of experience and ideas on how to make services such as hospitals, doctors, social services and mental health services better for everyone. It aims to link people up with those that provide these services so that they can share information and ideas.

Shelagh Maher from Diverse Cymru said “Everyone is welcome to attend the coffee morning, particularly Black and Minority Ethnic people, carers, disabled people, lesbian, gay and bisexual people, older people and transgender people, as people from these backgrounds do not always have their views heard on the services they receive. We hope that people will come along on the 19th and enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea and find out how they can become involved with our project. We would like to thank Rita Limbrick, of Rita’s Café for hosting the coffee morning.”
