THE new holiday programme, ‘Go Wild’, gave young people and their parents an opportunity to take part in new and exciting Wildlife and Conservation activities at Porthkerry.
Over the summer holiday hundreds of children took part in messy medieval crafts, rock pool rambles, den and fire building, wicked woodland crafts, nature’s art and mammal trapping.
All activity days were ranger led and aimed at children aged between 5 and 11 supported the ethos of outdoor learning. It gave children the opportunity to see the hidden worlds of British mammals and an opportunity to investigate and discover the possibilities and wonders within their local parks.
If you would like to join the team this autumn and winter for more hands on wildlife and conservation adventures, please contact the park rangers on 01446 733589 to be added to their mailing list.
