BRILLIANT banjo player Hilary Hawke brings her band Dubl Handi to The West End Club on Friday, April 11.
The trio from New York bring a fresh approach to the music from the Appalachian Mountains adding their own hugely appealing rhythmic groove to traditional well loved songs. Named after the 19th century washboard manufacturer they are the resident band at the legendary Jalopy Theatre - The Cohen Brothers' - favourite haunt in Brooklyn.
Their cd 'Up like the Clouds' is truly a delight for those with their hearts in Appalachia and an ear intent on what's Blowin' in the Wind.
