A PENARTH teenager has won a Harry Potter writing competition organised by the New York Post!
Stanwell Comprehensive pupil, Elle Turpitt, 17, of Windsor Road, entered the competition, which asked readers to write a 300-word episode of the next book in the Harry Potter series.
The prize was published in the New York Post.
Elle said: "I was thrilled to be named as one of the winners.
"I am a big Harry Potter fan. I've grown up with it and have read them all. The sixth one is my favourite.
"I was working in WH Smith when the latest book was launched recently."
