EACH year Westbourne School puts on an incredible show of unity and support for this worthy cause by raising funds through our annual cake sale. Our parents, pupils and indeed staff take immense pride in baking the very best their talents can offer, and donating these to the school. Throughout the morning, and at regular intervals, pupils from nursery to the sixth form queued with mouth-watering anticipation for a piece of their favourite cake, sponge, scone, tart, brownie, and well the list was endless. A massive thank you to all who provided their ware for the morning, and an extra applause goes to our year 11 Pre-IB pupils who ran the entire morning as part of their Creativity, Action & Service (CAS) – a mandatory and core component of the IB Diploma followed in our Sixth Form.
Finally, a massive £580 was raised from cake and tea sales alone – a great effort, for a great cause.
