A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

KURT ROBERT MARSH, 43, of Dunlin Court, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon – a wooden cosh/baton – in public and public disorder.

He must complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement and he was made the subject of a 12-week electronically monitored curfew between 6pm and 8am.

Marsh must pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

NEIL STUART GREGORY, 39, of Nordale Rise, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug-driving with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a breakdown product of cannabis, in his blood.

He was ordered to pay £319 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

LEE MALDWYN WALLACE, 43, of Shakespeare Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £159 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted being drunk and disorderly.

POPPY STACEY DAVIES, 26, of Northcote Terrace, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she admitted possession of heroin.

STEPHEN FRANCIS MURPHY, 36, of Daniel Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine.

JAMES RUDMAN, 35, of Powis View, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted possession of crack cocaine.
