A MAN from Barry was given a suspended prison sentence for damaging a ring doorbell system.
It was equated to £60 of damage, but that £60 proved pretty costly for Dean Lyons who received a two week prison sentence suspended for 24 months at a sentencing hearing at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 14.

Lyons, 45, of the town’s Bridge Street, committed the offence on March 21 along Dyfrig Street.
The reason Lyons was given a suspended prison sentence for the act of vandalism was it was committed while on bail and what the court deemed the seriousness of the crime.
Along with the suspended sentence order, Lyons was made to do 120 hours unpaid work.
