A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

PIERCE COLLINS, 27, of Mount Pleasant, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on Whitwell Road on April 4.

He was ordered to pay £319 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JARRAD GLYN TAVENER, 32, of Coleridge Crescent, Barry, was banned from driving for 42 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with 65 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Park Road on September 7.

He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

LIAM ANTHONY JONES 29, of Holton Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on the B4265 in St Athan on April 4.

He was ordered to pay £154 in a fine and a surcharge.

ASHTON WALKER HAWKES, 28, of Mariners Walk, Barry, was jailed for six months, suspended for two years, after he admitted breaching a restraining order on August 16.

He must complete 35 days of a building better relationships programme and a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and pay a £213 in costs and a surcharge.

ANDREW KEITH RUMBELOW, 41, of Laugharne Court, Barry, was ordered to pay £199 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to the criminal damage of a shop display belonging to Marks & Spencer at Cardiff Central railway station on September 21.

LEE MARCUS WILLIAMS, 46, of Maple Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to stop for a red light on the A4161 Newport Road/Rover Way, Cardiff, on March 27.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.

BEN THOMAS JONES, 31, of Mallory Close, St Athan, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without due care and attention on the B4265 on May 13.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SALLY PARFITT-THOMAS, 46, of Clevedon Avenue, Sully, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to stop for a red light on the A4161 Newport Road/Rover Way, Cardiff, on March 26.

Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
