A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

RICHARD DEAN LAWRENCE, 39, of Belmont Street, Barry, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

He was also ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

CARLA MARIE PRICE, 28, of Ffordd Y Mileniwm, was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and banned from driving for two years after she admitted being nearly three times the drink-driving limit.

She was also ordered to pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

CHLOE MAY DIMOND, 21, of Hillary Rise, Barry, was ordered to pay £222 in a fine, costs and a surcharge and her driving record endorsed with three points for speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone.

SHANE COTTY, 23, of Winstone Road, Barry, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for 24 months, after he admitted criminal damage, obstructing a police officer and being in breach of a community order.

He was ordered to complete a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and pay £150 compensation.

LISA PERRIN, 50, of Mallory Close, St Athan, was ordered to pay £124 in a fine and a surcharge and her driving record endorsed with three points for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone.

MARIA MARGUS, 49, of Dunlin Court, Barry, was ordered to pay £470 in a fine, costs and a surcharge and her driving record endorsed with six points after she pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

BRANDON DANDO, 21, of Castle Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £530 in fines, costs and a surcharge and his driving record endorsed with six points for driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

SANDRA FRANCES BOHLEN, 60, of Cilgant Y Meillion, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £750 in a fine, costs and a surcharge and her driving record endorsed with six points for speeding at 50mph in a 30mph zone.
