A HEAVY police presence on a Barry street is due to an 'ongoing incident', South Wales Police say.
Emergency services were called to Holton Road in Barry at 4pm today where a section of the street has been taped off.
Witnesses report seeing police and ambulances at the scene. The street is cordoned off from the entrance to Kings Square to the zebra crossing near St Mary's Church.
The incident appears to have happened outside the Iceland store.
The police have not confirmed the nature of the incident at this stage.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are at the scene of an ongoing incident on Holton Road, Barry.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 4pm.
Armed officers have also been deployed in support of divisional units."
