DESPITE losing, Wenvoe-based Ely Rangers got to lift the SW Alliance League Championship trophy.

While in Barry there was  serious concern as Cogan Coronation's game versus Cardiff Bay Warriors had to be abandoned due to a player suffering a serious injury.

Richard Greaves led out the SW Alliance League Championship title winners - Wenvoe based - Ely Rangers onto the pitch at AFC Wattstown to a guard of honour from the home team.

Although unbeaten since the October 14, Ely went down to AFC Wattstown 6-2.

It was always a difficult task as AFC Wattstown have won nine of their 10 home games with only one draw.

Rangers season is not over yet - as they play in the SWAL WJO Cup Final next weekend against Premier Division’s FC Cwmaman at USW Treforest.

Sully Sports had a local derby at Corntown against Vale United to save their season and avoid relegation.

Despite taking the lead twice Sully went down 3-2.

Joe Collins opened the scoring for Sully before Lewis James equalised for Vale.

Top scorer Luke Boyle again put Sully ahead on half time only for another equaliser by Steve Gauci early in the scond half but it was a Ryan Hughes 91st minute winner for Vale United that gave them the 3pts

In Division 1 West a serious injury caused the Cogan Coronation game against Cardiff Bay Warriors to be abandoned at 2-2.
