The last Vale representatives in the FAW Amateur Trophy crash out the cup while Dinas Powys had a bad day at the office, suffering an 11-0 thumping.

On Saturday the last remaining Vale team in the FAW Amateur Trophy - Ely Rangers - faced a daunting task against Penrhiwceiber Rangers who are two tiers above them.

Unfortunately the task was a step too far for Rangers and they came away on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline. Alex Longand and Jaden Bahumid were Rangers' scorers.

In SW Alliance Premier League action, Cardiff Airport travelling to Cardiff to face Llanrumney United.

Two early goals inside the opening 20 mins were enough for victory with goals coming from Lee Stradling and Premier Division top scorer Curtis Scotto.

Dinas Powys struggles continue against Treherbert BGC going down 11-0.

In the Championship, Vale United travelled north the Aberfan and went down 4-3.

A Henry Young brace and Ryan Hughes were on target for Vale.

At Cogan Leisure Centre in Division 1 West, on an overcast day, Cogan Coronation drew 1-1 with visitors Cwm Welfare.

After an uneventful first half, Cogan took the lead through last season’s top scorer Jack Preston, but a win was not to be when Cwm equalised late in the game.
