ON Sunday, Brynhill Golf Club ran two competitions, the Artillery Cup and week three of the four-week eclectic Barry and District Cup.
The former was won by notorious bandit Jonny Bud Williams and his sidekick Mike Fairhurst with 63 points, three ahead of Matt Campbell and Oliver Jeynes.
In The Barry and District leading pair going into the home straight are Lewis Millar and the ever grumpy Nick Daniels, their 55 keeping them ahead of several pairs in the chasing pack on 56, one of which is the aforementioned Williams/Fairhurst pairing.
Surely time these two bandits threw themselves on the mercy of Handicap Secretary Slasher Giles.
Next week sees the final round of the Barry and District which wraps up what has been a very strange season, let’s hope when the comps proper resume next spring things are back to somewhere near normality.
