AFTER weeks of friendly Stapleford Pro Comps played off Yellow tee markers, Sunday, July 19 saw Brynhill revert to a Medal Comp off the White Championship Tees, it may only add 250 metres but believe me it makes a difference.

Head Halletteer Billy Gratton topped the pile with a 69, edging out Jockey Griffiths and Glyn Morris by one solitary shot, Griffiths needing a back 9 countback to secure 2nd.

A blustery Sunday 26th saw us back to Stapleford but off the Whites, Peter Cooper dealt with the difficult conditions best and his 38 points was enough to nick top spot from Simon Bowsher on a back 6 countback, with the comeback kid John Williams one further back in third.

Biggest story though is Barry boy Kyron Sullivan winning the Sion Bebb Invitational at the delightful Morlais Castle course in Merthyr.

A pro am with a very strong field that numbered top amateurs and pros, including Bradley Dredge, Phillip Price and Mark Mouland couldn’t stop the Brynhill Member who carded a superb 3 under par 68 to top the leader board.
