SUNDAY saw Brynhill hold The Kenyon Davies Cup, a Greensome Foursomes competition where both players tee off, before choosing the best drive then playing alternate shots till the balls canned.

Despite the format, good weather and benign conditions the scores were, in the main pretty shabby, with Micky Perry and Lee Price coming out on top with a decent 65, three better than Dipper Wigley and Matt Lundrigan.

Next Sunday sees the rearranged John Collins Cup contested, a stableford Singles comp so, unlike greensomes, there is no scope for staring at your partner, shaking your head in despair and swearing about their lack of golfing ability, it’s down to you and you alone, it’s also the last chance to avoid the ignominy of joining the Hackerati and playing in the Consolation Cup the following week.
