DRAGONS supporters are advised that Saturday’s Celtic Cup clash with Ulster A has now been moved to Ystrad Mynach.

Dragons were set to take the round five cup game into the region for a fixture at the home of Blackwood RFC.

But the game has now been switched to the region’s training headquarters at Caerphilly County Borough Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach (kick-off 3pm).

General Manager James Chapron said: “We worked closely with the team at Blackwood and were looking forward to taking the game to Glan-Yr-Afon.

“Unfortunately, renovation work on the playing surface has not taken in time and so we’ve had to make the difficult decision to switch the fixture.

“Blackwood will still be running community activities this week, including a minis and juniors festival, plus a schools tournament, which we plan to support as much as possible.

“We thank Blackwood for all their efforts and hope to be able to revisit hosting a game at the venue in the future.”

Adult entry for the Celtic Cup fixture at Ystrad Mynach on Saturday is £5 and entry for under-16s is free of charge.

Season members are reminded that they will gain free access to all home games in the Celtic Cup by showing their membership card.
