ON Friday 26th July, the Brynhill Ladies' Away Day at Peterstone Lakes Golf Course was organised by the Ladies' Captain Jo Kirkpatrick.

The day dawned much cooler than it had been the previous few days and so was perfect golfing weather.

The bus arrived at 8am and when fully loaded with golf equipment and 25 ladies it started off for Peterstone armed with their goody bags provided by the Ladies' Captain.

Bacon rolls and coffee on arrival was welcome.

The Ladies Captain organised the teams and at 11am a flotilla of buggies and walking ladies proceeded to the 1st tee.

The course was in great condition but with plenty of lakes and ditches to contend with, quite a few golf balls were lost.

Norma Phillips guessed the correct amount of total balls lost.

The competition consisted of teams of three, with 2 best scores on each hole to count. The ladies enjoyed a 2 course meal, followed by the presentation.

Winners: Jan Robertson, Carole Allen and Audrey Phillips 78 points.

Longest drive: Chris Hopkins

The ladies all enjoyed their day and were serenaded on the bus home by Sam (Croaky Voice) Pascoe, Glynis (The Dancing Queen) Gould and Jo (Captain Kirk) Kirkpatrick.
