ON Wednesday June 12, Romilly met The Murch Dinas Powys in the Munro Cup.
Rink 1: Paul James, Barry Griffiths, Roger Jones and Skip Graham Cogbill, had a steady comfortable win. Result : 29 - 11
Rink 2: Phil Herbert, John Kirk, Paul Swannick and Skip Alan Bryan, a much closer match finding themselves one shot down after 15 ends and picking up 8 shots in the last 3 ends to win. Result: 16 -9
Rink 3: Dennis Mottram, Jerry Daly, Phil Gershenson and Skip Anthony Freeman, another comfortable win for Romilly.
Result: 27 - 8
Rink 4: Brian Parker, Don Evans, Paul Ross and Skip Ray Hewitson, this was a tight game which Romilly finally pulled away to win 17 - 10
Aggregate Result: 89 - 38
On Saturday June 15th Romilly met Penyrheol in the Carruthers Cup.
Rink 1: Jerry Daly, Paul Swnnick, Gary Eastment and Skip Jeff Wright, a very close encounter with Romilly coming out on top
Result: 22 -19
Rink 2: Alan Bryan, John Kirk, Clive Collins and Skip Graham Cogbill, another close match with both sides level at 8 all after 10 ends. Romilly then established a 17 - 12 lead afer 15 ends and held on to win 22 - 18
Rink 3: Phil Gershenson, Phil Edwards, Roger Jones and Skip Steve Close, somewhat lack lustre performance by the Romilly rink who never seemed to get into their stride losing 13 - 31
Rink 4 : Kelvin Mills, Terry Bloomfield, Mel Newman and Skip Mike Doyle, the Romilly rink got off to a flying start and were 9 -1 up after 5 ends. The pace then somewhat slowed and they found themselves 14 - 7 up after 5 ends. Romilly side held their nerve to win 20 - 11
On Sunday June 16th, Romilly Bowls played Dinas Powys in the Alun Martin Competition.
Rink 1: Jerry Daly, Paul Swannick, Steve Close and Skip Mel Newman. Romilly got off to a slow start and were trailing by 11 shots after the 12th end. They then managed to pick up 8 shots in the last 6 ends to go down 11 - 14
Rink 2: Eric Fortt, Phil Edwards, Alan Bryan and Skip Mike Doyle. This was a very close contest that saw Romilly go down 16 - 17
On Wednesday 19th June, Romilly entertained Cowbridge in the Munro Cup.
Rink 1: Phil Herbert, Eric Fortt, Jerry Daly and Skip Mike Doyle. An excellent performance by the Romilly rink, and returned an impressive in 34 - 4
Rink 2: Paul James, Phil Edwards, Roger Jones and Skip Graham Cogbill, this was a very close contest, and after 13 ends the match stood at 8 - 8. The last 5 ends Romilly pulled away to win 17 -10.
Rink 3: Dennis Mottram, Peter Hunt, Phil Gershenson and Skip Anthony Freeman. Another closely fought contest, Romilly winning 18 -14
Rink 4: Anthony Jones, Paul Ross, Gwyn Rees and Skip Steve Close. Like their team mates on Rink 1, Romilly proved too strong for Cowbridge, romping away to a 27 - 5 win

Rink 1: Alan Bryan, Dave Noble, Clive Collins and Skip Graham Cogbill. Result 21 -17
Rink 2: Dave Francis, Roger Jones, Steve Close and Skip Brian Foscolo. A below par performance by the Romilly rink, resulting in a defeat 10 - 34
Rink 3: Jerry Daly, Gwyn Rees, Gary Eastment and Skip Jeff Wright, a tight game resulting in a score of 20 - 21
Rink 4: Kelvin Mills, Terry Bloomfield, Mel Newman and Skip Mike Doyle. Staring defeat in the face, being 6 down with 1 end to play, the Romilly team picked up a magnificent 5 shots on the last end to tie 20 - 20

On Sunday 30th June, Barry Romilly welcomed and entertained a team from Dursley Bowling Club.
Rink 1: Lorraine, Phil Herbert, Terry Bloomfield and Skip Mike Doye. Result: 23 -13
Rink 2: Don Evans,Peter Hunt, Alan Bryan and Skip Steve Close. Result: 14 -19
Rink 3: Ian Forsyth, Eric Fortt, Brian Parker and Skip Ray Hewitson. Result: 26 - 11
Rink 5: Sylvia, Glyn Sheppard, Jerry Daly and Skip Mel Newman. Result: 15 - 25
Rink 6: A.N. Hort, Arthur Champ, Paul James and Skip John Kirk. Result : 18 - 18
