ON Saturday the weather got the better of Barry Athletic Cricket Club both home and away.
For the first time since the summer of 2015, Barry Athletic 1st XI had a home game called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
On the junior front Barry Athletic are going from strength to strength after the work that was put in place by previous incumbent Mark Ellis.
Current junior co-ordinator Mark Rees is looking to take the club to the next level and has some big shoes to fill with the club having over 70 children ranging from the All Stars to Under 13s. The future looks bright.
Over the next couple of weeks Mark is also going to be doing taster sessions for women's softball cricket with six players signed up already to give it a try and more are welcome.
