ON a cold and breezy Thursday morning ladies from Brynhill Golf Club and visitors from other clubs took part in a charity 10 hole stableford competition.
There was plenty on offer to welcome ladies when they came in.
Free coffee/tea and biscuits plus the opportunity to buy gorgeous cakes baked by some of the ladies. Mark the club's caterer was kept busy serving excellent lunches.
Ladies enjoyed browsing through golf gear supplied by Justine Blunsdon thinking of future summer golf!
There were raffle prizes to win plus a bottle stall.
The Ladies captain, Jo Kirkpatrick, welcomed everyone to her charity coffee morning.
Her chosen charity is Crohn's & Colitis UK and today nearly £1000 was raised. She thanked Kim and Laura from the charity for their hard work and presented flowers to them.
The Ladies captain thanked all the visiting ladies who took part as well as her own ladies from Brynhill.
She also thanked Brynhill's past captains for supporting her event as they had a conflicting golf event that day.
The Ladies captain took the opportunity to thank all those who had helped her that morning especially her committee, Julie, Norma, Claire Herbert, Audrey, Jan Tattersall, the catering and bar staff not least her daughter Rhian and husband John who had been starter for the competition.
She thanked the club's newly appointed course manager, Matt Borgess and his ground staff for ensuring the course was in excellent condition for the ladies.
She then did a draw for two special raffle prizes for Crohn's & Colitis UK - a hamper donated by the Ladies captain and a John Lewis voucher kindly donated by Carole Allen.
Winner of the John Lewis voucher was Liz Taylor and Carole Allen won the hamper.
Jo Kirkpatrick finished her speech by inviting visiting ladies to play at Brynhill's Ladies Open on 19th July and wished everyone a safe journey home.
The club President, Hilary West, thanked all those who helped make the morning a success. She also congratulated the winners and thanked everyone for supporting the club.
The Ladies Captain then announced the winners of the 2019 Charity Coffee Morning competition and presented them with their prizes.
