HOLTON Road Seniors continued their incredible season by booking a place in this seasons SWFA Intermediate Cup Final following a 3-2 victory over Royal Oak FC from Aberdare at Bridgend Street Stadium, Cardiff.

Holton staged an amazing comeback in the last 30 minutes of the game after trailing 2-0 and showing their usual never give in attitude, with goals from Shaun Jachontow x 2 and a 93rd minute dramatic winner from Travell Konten sealing the victory.

Holton were made to work hard for the win but showed their true grit and class when it mattered breaking the hearts of their spirited opponents.

Coach Jeff Howells said: "These lads don’t know how to throw the towel in they just keep positive and believe in themselves.

"I’m so pleased for Travell coming back into the side following a long lay off after a major operation and scoring the winner as well as showing true class throughout the match.

To have the likes of himself, Mondo and Cutsy back from injury at the business end of the season is a massive boost to the pace of football we like to play especially with the final being played at Penybont Stadium which has a pitch very similar to the size of Jenner Park.

"Congratulations must also be mentioned to Tynewydd FC for making the final an all Barry encounter meaning the trophy will definitely be coming back to the Vale this season which is great for local league football.

"We had great numbers come to support us again with our youngsters again making all the noise so thanks for travelling to cheer us on folks it means a lot to us all.”

The SWFA Intermediate Cup final takes place at Penybont Stadium, Bridgend on Saturday May 4th, 5.30pm kick off.
