ON a glorious Sunday afternoon at Jenner Park, Holton Road Seniors clinched the Division 1 double by beating a spirited Cadoxton Barry 3-2.

It was a tense affair with Holton gaining the honours with goals from Danny Morgan x 2 and Shaun Jachontow.

Holton had chances to finish the game off a few times but thanks to an incredible performance from Cadoxton's keeper the score was kept close but credit to them they kept fighting and always looked dangerous on the counter attack.

Holton coach Jeff Howells said: “I can’t emphasize how proud I am of my lads, winning the league in January unbeaten was a great achievement and now to secure the double is a fantastic feeling.

"I’d like to thank all the players for being a joy to coach and watch alike, also to Matty for the hard work he puts in, the committee for the unseen hard work they do for the club and especially to the youngsters who turned up on mass to support us and where amazingly well-behaved, singing their hearts out for the whole game. "It's back to business now as we’ve another big game to play in the SWFA Intermediate cup semi final at Bridgend Street Stadium against The Royal Oak FC from Cwmbach.

"Thanks to everyone for your support and hopefully we can keep doing you proud."
