DESPITE a few games falling foul to the weather, an entertaining Saturday was had in the VOGAFL.

Barry Athletic now just need one more win to retain their Premier Division crown, but they were made to work for the points away to St Athan as they came from behind to grab a last-minute winner.

Coree Roberts delightful lob put St Athan ahead but Teejay Caton notched a fine double to ensure Athletic remain on course for the title.

In Division One just the one game survived as Cadoxton Imps promotion chase suffered a bump in the road as they were held to thrilling a 3-3 draw by Cwm Talwg.

Imps now sit three points off second place Tynewydd with a game in hand and a slightly better goal difference, plus the two sides clash at the end of the month in what should be a huge game for both clubs.

In Division Two, leaders AFC Rhoose B avenged last weeks cup thumping to defeat Penarth Town B 4-2.

The result sees Rhoose move three points ahead of St Athan B who were held 1-1 away to Vale Madrid, although Rhoose have played two games less. Barry Vikings game was postponed and they are now in third, four points off top with a game in hand.

The title race in division two looks set to go right to the wire with some interesting and exciting twists and turns to come in the next few weeks.

And finally, Barry Athletic B returned to winning ways as they survived a late Island Marine B fightback to win the Island derby 3-2.
