BRYNHILL'S golfing ladies along with past members and guests celebrated St David's Day by enjoying an evening of fun and laughter.

The Lady Captain, Jo Kirkpatrick welcomed everyone and made special reference to past members June Sanderson and Mo Merrick.

Jo also welcomed guests and noted that Rosina Butler and friends continue to support the ladies section.

Before the ladies tucked into a delicious Welsh themed dinner Robbie Lee said grace in Welsh. In between courses, ladies competed in a hotly contested table quiz which was naturally based on all things Welsh. A mini bingo competition followed with Rosina winning.

The evening culminated with a best dressed Welsh Lady competition. Three models were dressed by their three chosen dressers by using an eclectic mix of Welsh decorations including toilet paper! Jan Robertson was voted winner and she and her dressers, Liz Taylor, Judy Davies and Robbie Lee were presented with prizes.

The Lady Captain rounded off the evening by thanking her Vice Captain Lisa Taylor by organising the fun events. Mark the caterer along with the bar and waiting staff were commended for their excellent food and service.

Winners of recent competitions were:

Mud Glorious Mud played on 19 February - Chris Hopkins 17 points

St Davidès Day competition played on 26 February - Audrey Phillips 18 points over the back 7 from Jane Phillips.
