HOLTON Road AFC Seniors progressed to the Supporters Cup Final after a convincing semi final victory over an in form Cadoxton Imps.

Holton ran out 3 – 0 winners with goals from Ben Pearce, Linford Harris and T Raw Williams but it could have been a lot different had it not been for a potential save of the century contender from Holton’s keeper Scott Adams with Holton leading 1 – 0 at the time and Imps putting the pressure on. Coach Jeff Howells said: "We expected a tough game and once again the Imps didn’t disappoint, full credit should go to Josh, his coaching team and his players for playing some outstanding football once again.

"Bearing in mind the Imps were on the brink of disbanding not long ago and the hard work they’ve put in and players they’ve brought in are a credit to the club.

"They always play attractive football it was simply a case of on the day we had that slight edge.

"They are a fairly new squad and I’m sure they’ll have success in the future.

"I would additionally like to mention how well the game was officiated by referee Rob Jones who once again was flawless in his decision making.

"Holton will play Cadoxton Barry in the Final on Sunday April 7th at Jenner Park. Also we’d like to say a massive thank you to Avi at the Vere Street Nisa / Vapestation store for helping with sponsorship towards our new match day tracksuits and also a huge thank you to Jamie at Macron and Ollie and Amanda at Busy Bee Insurance for kindly donating our new away kit which is part of the Martine Adams awareness campaign.
