THE ladies section of Brynhill Golf Club celebrated St Valentine’s Day a few days early on the 12th February by competing in a 10 hole stableford “Meet for Lunch” competition followed by lunch. Not all ladies entered the competition but twenty one did with Glynis Gould coming in with a winning score of 18 points beating Robbie Lee over the back five. Lunch was enjoyed by all and then a much anticipated raffle took place.

The recently appointed Ladies Captain, Jo Kirkpartrick, gave a speech by thanking all those who played and the ladies who attended later for lunch. She also thanked the caterer for the sandwiches, chips and delicious desserts, as well as the Lady Vice-Captain, Lisa Taylor and the Secretary, Diane Tapscott who sold the raffle tickets. The Lady Captain also took the opportunity to present cash prizes for past winter competitions which were:

“Muddy Trollies” held on 8 January. Winner Robbie Lee 14 points over the back 5 from Linda Hewlett.

“Slippery Slopes” hold on 22 January. Winner Lisa Taylor 14 points.
